While planning the school garden I took a trip to the home improvement store and started brainstorming ways to make a bench for many kids, without breaking the bank, that would hold up over time. After touring the aisles and repeating my tracks a few times, I settled on this idea. You might be able to make it for free if you have scrap wood, cement block and Gorilla Glue.
GOAL: Strong, safe bench for several people made for as little money as possible.
CONCEPT: Stack cement block and fit wood planks through the holes. Simple.
TIME TO MAKE: 5-10 minutes.
